Our Mountain Vaca

This past weekend we headed to the mountains for Ashley's wedding. Emerson is becoming quite the traveler. We made our way through Asheville and ate at one of our favorite places, Tupelo Honey Cafe. We dined there last year for our our anniversary and it is amazing. I was kind of scared it would not be quite as good as I had remembered considering I was pregnant at the time and everything was delicious. But, luckily for us it was superb. If you are ever in the area it is definitely a must eat. Emerson attempted to sit in a high chair for the first time but since she was more interested in eating the table and hurting herself on the corners she ended up in my lap. I've become very accustomed to eating with one hand. After our meal we traveled down the parkway.

Mark decided to jump out and scare me. Just kidding.

We stopped for a photo op in a little field with flowers. It was a quite a shock as the temperature quickly dropped to 63. Thats much different than the 95 we are use to. Emerson didn't mind as there were plenty of flowers to eat.
Here is our semi-sitting up attempt

I think Emerson really likes the outdoors. So much to look at and take in.
Since there were grandparents close by we got a rare shot of the three of us.

Through all this Emerson managed to sneak a nap in. She really is the sweetest sleeper.

We saw some amazing dahlias there.
Simply stunning
We also visited 3 waterfalls. This picture doesn't do it justice. It's actually bigger than Niagra.
Sunday was the wedding and Emerson sported her yellow flower. It was like a magnet for attention. While we were waiting for the ceremony to begin 10 people approached her and 2 took pictures. People we didn't even know! She was such a trooper, just observing and taking in the scenery.
Here is the beautiful bride. Emerson and I were lucky enough to sneak a peak before the wedding. Emerson was in awe of her. :)

The weather and the area in general sounds divine! Those flower bows are magnets. I loved using them for Savi. She pulls them off now though:( Cute pic of her sleeping..such an angel!
