One of a kind style

A month or so I got Emerson this dress at the consignment. Thinking she would wear it this spring/summer. But, of course she had other plans and thought it fitting to wear it now. She added the coral jacket that finally fits and a pair of khakis that fit her waist but are a bit short. Since she is a tiny thing pants are getting tough to wear without being highwaters. Emerson has been following her own fashion inspiration for awhile. She doesn't care what everyone else would say goes together. She wears what she loves. As she is heading towards turning three I know some of the these little quirks might fade away. But, I hope she holds onto some of her individualism.

Ezra Bean

Oh my sweet Ezra Bean. He thinks he is so funny now. Most definitely a ham! This is his favorite spot to hang out.  At the bottom of the stairs just hoping he can get past this gate.
He is growing up so fast. I'm trying to bottle up all this baby time for as long as possible!

This Girl

This girl has been saying the craziest things lately. I knew if I didn't write it down I would forget. So let's recap our conversations this week.

Emerson: "I want a big one."
Me: "Ok, we'll get a big one but what type?"
Emerson: "Umm...I want a Rapunzel one."
Me:"Ok, we'll check and see!" (Didn't hold my breath on that one) :)

Ezra was fussing a little bit and she looked down at him and said,

"Ezra, honey, I can't hold you right now. I'm working."

Yesterday  I had to go upstair several times and tell her to take her nap. The first time she was wearing two dresses layered. The second time she had added a t-shirt. The final time I went upstairs because she was crying. I found her in this outfit, baby onesie and pj shorts.  Standing inside her pajama drawer.

Me: "Emerson, what are you doing?!?"

Emerson: "It's backwards."

Ah, the problems of a two year old.

Ezra 9 Months Old

My sweet boy is 9 months. I really can't say enough good things about Ezra. He is a happy boy and he continues to be such a joy in our lives. This month he is getting faster and faster at cruising. He is sturdy on his feet and I never worry about him toppling over. He has strong legs for sure! He is busy as can be. Always trying to climb the stairs and for some reason will do anything to get to the toilet or dog bowls. It's like he puts everything in fast forward and crawls with a purpose. Emerson never did that! Haha. He is beginning to play with her more and more. They enjoy playing with the Little People Farm together. He gets so excited to see her in the morning and adores his sister. He is babbling a lot and even said bye the other day. He's all boy and loves throwing balls and other toys.  Ezra points very distinctly with one finger and it really seems to tickle him. His hair is coming in like crazy and seems to be a light color similar to Emerson's. Although it's lighter than her hair at this age. Maybe we'll have a blondie this summer? Despite the fact that I have offered him tons of food he prefers milk. He will chew on crackers or a veggie stick but forget about fruit! The cutest thing he has started to do is dancing. I guess Emerson has rubbed off on him. He will bounce as soon as he hears music and will also clap his hands. He also shakes his head no at everything and thinks it's so funny that he is communicating. For the first time this month he got embarrassed. A lot of women at church were standing around him in the nursery adoring him and when he noticed everyone was laughing at him he hung his head down and started bawling. Broke my heart!  I just hate when he feels sad. It never gets easier. He's growing up fast but I continue to soak up every moment with him.  Love him!
Can he get anymore scrumptious with those baby blues and pouty lips?!?

High Five for Friday

I'm participating in a blog hop this week. It's been a long time. But, here are my top 5 this week!

1. Popcorn Indiana- White Cheddar Popcorn
Could be the best popcorn I've ever had. Run, don't walk to your nearest store to get some. Yum!

2.  Post earrings by Elisabeth Ashlie
I had a small paypal credit so when I saw these rosette earrings I jumped on them. They'll add some cuteness to my daily outfit but hopefully won't be as enticing to pull out by a certain someone with grabby hands.

3.   New Girl Episode "Julia and Jess"
I'm really starting to love this show and this week I laughed so hard. Especially at the last 5 minutes of the show. Definitely worth watching!

4.  Spring Temps.
Loving the 70 degree weather. We have been park hopping all week. Where was this fabulous weather last year when I was pregnant and miserable in the cold???

5. Ezra slept for 4 hours in a row this week. Not a big deal to some people but a big deal in this house for sure!
