It's video time

Since it's so hard to capture those quick baby smiles I decided to film them. Listen to Emerson say "It does!" after I ask Ezra if sneezing feels good. Ha! I didn't hear that when I was filming it. Please excuse my shaky camera work. It's hard to make goofy faces at a baby and film. Ya know?? Also Emerson is really into singing Happy Birthday right now. So I'm not sure asking her randomly. It's the first song she can sing and I actually understand the words!

Since I haven't been a very good blogger lately I thought I would post some videos for your enjoyment.

Baby's best friend

We had a fun weekend. We took Emerson swimming not once but twice! It was our first weekend at the neighborhood pool and thought it would be way to cold for but she didn't seem to mind in the least. She had fun splashing around. I guess our "swim classes" paid off. Saturday we went to a family festival put on by Mark's work. There were pony rides and I thought Emerson would love it but she was actually completely terrified by them. Then I tried to take her through the blow up playhouse and she wasn't a fan of that either. While we were eating lunch she kept saying, "Ball, ball." I turned to the table beside us and saw the kids had a beach ball. From then on we were on a mission to win E. a ball. She was ecstatic and we even took it to the pool. I'm a little light on pictures this week so here are a couple videos from yesterday.

Sometimes Mia can be playful with Emerson and it's hilarious to watch. Even funnier is she will run around then randomly go upstairs with no warning. Emerson was not a fan of her early departure.

So finally the second part of my blog post. I wasn't meaning to be cryptic. I was just having technical difficulties. Ha! Emerson is happy because she is now a walker! Part-time at least. I'm glad I had my flip video ready!

Random Video of the Day

This video has no real purpose. Haha! But, you can kinda see what our days our usually like. She was talking up a storm before I pulled out the camera. Then of course gave me the silent treatment. If you look closely you can see her top teeth at the end.

A mouthful and a little fetch

So in the past 2-3 weeks Emerson has cut 4 teeth! So she has quite a mouthful these days. She had been sleeping horribly the past couple weeks, waking pretty much every 2 hours. Especially this past weekend it was rough. I suspected it was teething but now I'm 100% reassured. As soon as the last tooth popped through I was able to put Emerson to bed within 10 minutes and didn't hear a peep out of her for hours! I actually was a little neurotic about checking on her because she was so quiet. Let's hope this wonderful sleep pattern lasts for awhile and any extra teeth wait it out.

I don't have any new pictures on hand so here is Emerson attempting to play with the dog. I think it's adorable!

Play Ball

We were out of town all weekend so I'll just sum up the last few days.....

~Emerson slept the entire way in the car, there and back! Woo hoo!

~I got a haircut

~I got lost in the endless amount of merchandise at Hobby Lobby but, finally found a birthday banner for Emerson.

~Emerson discovered throwing things is fun! For her at least.

~We had a playdate with Chatham and visited with Aunt Reba.

~After several attempts I have started a crocheted blanket for Emerson.

~Emerson was traumatized by an inflatable duck bath tub.

~She finally got a top tooth!

That's the cliftnote version. Here is a video of Emerson playing ball (since I was camera free) at her Grandparents after she rejected her pjs. She seems enthused for a baby that is suppose to be in bed don't you think?

Look at her go! Seriously a few days ago she couldn't do this. I went upstairs and when I came down Mark was filming this. That's why I'm all enthusiastic and surprised. :)

Emerson's Laugh

This is Emerson's sweet laugh that she started about 3 weeks ago. I just love it. Now if I could only figure out how to make her do it all the time!
